Who we are

PainBeacon is an independent directory that helps people find pain-medicine clinics. We are a directory and information service — not a medical provider — and nothing here is medical advice.

What we collect

When you use our “Find your pain specialist” tool, we may collect:

We intentionally do not ask for detailed medical history, diagnoses, or other sensitive health information through this tool.

How we use it

We do not sell detailed personal health information.

Service providers

We use reputable third-party services to run the site — for example, cloud hosting and database providers to store submissions securely, mapping tiles to display clinic locations, and public data sources (including the U.S. federal NPI registry and public business listing information) to build clinic profiles. These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms.

If you use the locate button on the clinic map, your browser asks your permission first, and the answer is used only in your browser to center the map — it is never stored and never sent to us.

Advertising

Some pages carry a card from a sponsor, always marked “Advertisement”. When a card is shown or clicked we count that on our own servers — which sponsor, which page, when — so we can report to the sponsor how the card performed. We store no IP address, no device identifier, and no cookie for this, and no advertising script runs on the page. A click sends you to the sponsor’s own site with a tag that tells them the visit came from PainBeacon; what they collect from there is governed by their privacy policy.

Your choices

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, and submitted contact details are stored so that they are not publicly readable. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Changes

We may update this policy as the site evolves; the “last updated” date above reflects the current version. Questions? Email [email protected].
